Anchorage pollster Ivan Moore suggests the Anchorage Assembly remove “gender identity” and “gender expression” from coverage under the proposed equal rights ordinance — in order to get the rigid right to agree. Sorry. I won’t throw my trans sisters & brothers under the bus. And I’m not alone.

My letter to the Anchorage Municipal Assembly and Acting Mayor Matt Claman in support of the Anchorage equal rights ordinance, which would add “sexual orientation” and “veteran status” to those classes already included in Title V, Anchorage’s equal rights code.

But evidence suggests he also excels as a fisher of red herrings, especially when it comes to his opposition to equal rights for lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, and transfolk.
