Government by psychopathy
The U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission had granted the fake-persons known as corporations vast new powers of “free speech” by which to further corrupt American democracy.

Haiti: Disaster profiteering v. helping Haiti rebuild for Haitians
“We have to be absolutely clear that this tragedy — which is part natural, part unnatural — must, under no circumstances, be used to, one, further indebt Haiti and, two, to push through unpopular corporatist policies in the interest of our corporations” (Naomi Klein). Chuffed
I’m pretty darn chuffed that my blog was recognized by Phil Munger of Progressive Alaska for Best Investigative Reporting for 2009 among Alaska progressive blogs.
My story of 2009
Not quite ALL about my 2009, because that would take a year to write. This only took several hours.

Mea culpa: My post about Palin yesterday distorted what she said
Yesterday I wrote a post called “Palin adds a whole new definition of solipsism” based on two-sentence quote from her book Going Rogue. My interpretation yesterday, based solely on that two-sentence quote taken, was wrong. Therefore I am correcting myself here. I have also added notes of correction to the original post.
