Fairview Block Party 2012 — Saturday, July 21
Anchorage’s Fairview Community Council holds its annual Fairview Block Party this Saturday, July 21, with live music and peformance art, a beer garden, family and kids’ activities, parkour, and yummy food vendors. (The food, that is, not the vendors!) This year’s block party will include a remembrance and performance in honor of Mya Dale.

Drag Camp 2012: Drag your way to the top!
Anchorage MPowerment Project (Amp Anchorage), in conjunction with The Friday Night Diva Variety Show and Mad Myrna’s, presents Drag Camp 2012: Drag your way to the top! — an opportunity for young men to become the drag divas of their dreams. Drag Camp and competition will be held on successive Saturdays, Feb. 18 and 25.

The Friday Night Divas are hosting a Friday/Saturday doubleheader this weekend at the Anchorage nightclub Mad Myrna’s to benefit One Anchorage in its campaign to gain passage of the Anchorage Equal Rights Initiative in the Anchorage municipal election on April 3.

Grand Duke XI Vik of Anchorage and Grand Duchess XI Celeste of Anchorage, ICOAA, invite you to the Friday Night Diva Variety Show at Mad Myrna’s this Friday to donate a winter coat (used or new) for Abused Women’s Aid in Crisis (AWAIC).
