Fairview Block Party 2012 — Saturday, July 21
Anchorage’s Fairview Community Council holds its annual Fairview Block Party this Saturday, July 21, with live music and peformance art, a beer garden, family and kids’ activities, parkour, and yummy food vendors. (The food, that is, not the vendors!) This year’s block party will include a remembrance and performance in honor of Mya Dale.

Bring any sort of performance art: dance, comedy, non-nude strip, song, anything! Featuring the David Leslie Dancers and hosted by the infamous Fleurs du Mal Burlesque.

Wednesday, June 6: It’s a jam-packed Pride Week day in Anchorage, with two showings of “On These Shoulders We Stand,” local and national LGBT poets at Out North’s Pride Parley, and lube wrestling and float–building at the Raven.
