We lost one of our beautiful young ones two days ago. Mya Dale died Wednesday morning, June 20. We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, classmates, and all she touched in our community.

Anchorage Assembly to hold work session on election recount — Friday, June 15
The Anchorage Assembly will hold a work session on election recount issues at City Hall on Friday, June 15. The topic will be the 15-precinct hand recount of of the botched April 3 Anchorage municipal election, and will include a report by members of the Recount Group which called for, and observed, the hand recount.

Revenge of the Drag Queens: Drag Queen Bingo 2012 in photos
Revenge of the Drag Queens, Anchorage’s 5th annual Drag Queen Bingo, a fundraising event of the Four A’s and AMP, took place last night on 4th Avenue by Snow City Café. Bent Alaska’s Christopher Constant was there and brought back these photos (plus one by Juli Morgan).
