The Fairbanks & Interior peer-to-peer transgender support group is meeting this Thursday, June 9, at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Fairbanks (UUFF). Meetings are open to anyone who identifies as transgender, genderqueer, gender-questioning, gender-bending, or friends/family members/supporters.

This month members will be watching the movie Kinky Boots, a 2005 film written a traditional Northampton shoemaker who turns to producing fetishism footwear in order to save the failing family business and the jobs of his workers. The film is based on the true story of Divine Footwear, a trademark brand of the UK firm WJ Brooks Ltd.  which was featured in an episode of the BBC documentary series Trouble at the Top.
