ACLU of Alaska Liberty Awards Gala to feature Judge Alex Kozinski, Chief Judge of the 9th Circuit
The ACLU of Alaska is pleased to announce that the Honorable Alex Kozinski, Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, will be the Keynote Speaker at this year’s ACLU of Alaska Liberty Awards Gala. Help us inaugurate The Year of Restoring Privacy!
Judge Kozinski will speak about changing cultural expectations of privacy regarding new technologies. We’ll have a special message from Alaska State Rep. Sharon Cissna, who has experienced first-hand the intrusive loss of privacy at our nation’s airports. And we’ll honor the Cadle litigation Jane Doe Plaintiffs, who are courageously challenging the State of Alaska’s seizure of nearly 400 patients’ private medical records from a Ketchikan midwife’s clinic.
