Brandi Carlile returns to Alaska

Submitted by on Wednesday, 4 May 2011 – 4:04 PMOne Comment

Both Anchorage and Fairbanks are on Brandi Carlile‘s summer 2011 tour!

Brandi CarlileBrandi’s new album Live at Benaroya Hall with the Seattle Symphony was released yesterday and is available through her website. It adds a symphony sound to her indie-rock-with-a-country-backbeat music and her rough-sexy voice.

When Bent announced Brandi’s first Alaska concerts last year, we included quotes from her OUT.com interview about being an openly lesbian performer, her gay and lesbian role models in the music business, and her experiences singing with Elton John and Amy Ray on her third album, Give Up the Ghost.

We also posted the video of her song Dying Day. (It’s great – watch it HERE.)
